Lufthansa Technik signs component support for Smartavia’s latest aircraft

The Russian airline Smartavia is continuing its decade-long partnership with Lufthansa Technik through a multi-year agreement covering extensive component services (Total Component Support — TCS).

This new contract governs supply for the privately-owned regional airline’s latest fleet of Airbus A320neo aircraft over a period of six years. Service has started in May 2021, the contract initially includes up to ten aircraft that Smartavia plans to operate by the end of next year.

Airbus wins first Flight Hour Services contract in the CIS

Air Manas (IATA code: ZM), a low-cost operator based in Kyrgyzstan, has selected Airbus’ Flight Hour Services (FHS) for component maintenance services in support of their new A220 leased fleet.

As first A220 operator in the CIS Air Manas will also become the first Airbus customer for components Flight Hour Services in the region.

Ural Airlines opens another line maintenance station

As part of the program to minimize the use of third-party contractors’ services during maintenance and repair of its fleet, Ural Airlines, Russia’s fifth largest carrier, has opened another line maintenance station.
The new facility, as well as its own warehouse, has been set up at Pulkovo Airport (LED, St. Petersburg), where the planned volume of work by the end of the year will amount to almost 9,000 man-hours.
